Unit 4: Presenting Final Pitch for Finance and Approval
This is a video footage that was recorded when I did my class presentation. This was very helpful as it helped me understand my own idea in detail.

Unit 4: Content Research - My Documentary Planning
Topic and Title:
The caption of my documentary is going to be: Government Certification on ''sexy'' music videos?
I will obtain polarized opinions by introducing in my documentary a question that enables me to obtain polarized opinions.
The question will be: Are the government right in putting certificates in sexy music videos?
In my documentary, I will be interviewing Sadiq Khan who is a member of the Parliaments and deals with my issue. I will also talk to the British Board of Film Classification asking them about my issue too.
At last, I will also talk to one of my closest friends who is a rapper/musician and she wants to make successful record labels or wants to be involved in a music industry.
Mode of Address:
The style or mode of address of my documentary is going to be investigative, serious and a few critical modes attached to it. The reason why my documentary is going to be serious is because focussed subject matter that people need to know about and understand the ethics or morals of my documentary about the issue.
Purpose:
The purpose of producing my documentary is to lift the lid on the objectification of women, government censoring and the public's opinions about sexy music videos being published inconsiderably. I also have to find out whether censoring sexy music videos is right or wrong?
The key purpose of my documentary is to inform, educate and raise awareness to my target audience about government censorships on sexually explicit music videos. My idea appeals to my target audience as it is going to be made by a young person, so it’s interesting to see a documentary that is not made by a real professional adult documentary producer.
Audience:
My target audience is going to be collage teenagers who are from a working/middle class background. (For a proper detailed target audience profiles see the PowerPoint on altered target audience profile).
The subject matter is about the government censorship on sexy music videos. The reason why I have decided to choose this subject matter for my documentary is because I am, personally, interested in this subject matter and for my course I want to study it further so I can produce an effective documentary for my Media Production course. Yet also, the subject matter is captivating and relates to my target audience. It is a focused subject matter and it is current so it meets my aims.
Most importantly, the conventions of my documentary are:
- Nonfiction as I will be documenting an aspect of reality.
- My documentary is not a biased type as it contains a variety of other personal opinions from different individuals.
- I will be also using archive footage for my cutaways from the secondary resources such as the Internet, magazines or newspapers.
- Two expert opinions to make it believable and more realistic connoting that the documentary and the issues are for real in today’s society. I will also convey that the documentary is a current and new issue.
- Voice over narration, which will help me include more information in my documentary and display my cutaways during a voice over narration which will make my documentary more fascinating.
- Cutaways where I will be displaying relevant images or pictures in my documentary.
- I might also use long takes dominate or I might use the 5 shot rule.
Viability means the capacity to operate or be sustained. My documentary is viable or in other words, doable as I can arrange interviewers with the contacts that I have to make for my documentary.
Prior the interviews, I will construct professional and relevant questions for my interviewees. I am also able to conduct Vox Pops. In my documentary, I will be presenting the introduction and conclusion myself of my documentary and the characters. I have to mention that, my documentary is the viable because it is just for 5 minutes and I have by now developed my idea thoroughly to understand and acknowledge exactly what I am going to be doing to meet my aims and purposes.
Mode of documentary:
The Mode of my documentary is participatory and investigative.
The reason why I am going to participate in my documentary because it is much more better as I will know what to do or what to say for my own documentary. Yet also, my character may not be available 24/7. Whereas, if there are any errors in my documentary for the scenes that I am in, I can easily do them again.
Likewise, the reason why my documentary is going to be investigative is because my aim is to find out what different people think about the government censoring on sexy music videos? They will provide me with polarized opinions.
As I am from an adolescent life stage too, I can relate myself to my target audience when planning and producing my documentary. Personally, I like documentaries that are investigative and participatory which makes the documentary realistic and interesting for myself, as a viewer. Therefore, because I know that this mode of address or mode will appeal to my target audience I will use it for my documentary.
Presenter:
I have decided to present my documentary because it is my independently filmed documentary; I know what the story is about in depth and what I am going to be doing?
I want to present the documentary at the beginning where I will introduce my documentary to my target audience.
I want to be able to present the show as my target audience will be aware of who the presenter is and having too much Voice Over throughout the documentary can possibly result in losing my target audiences' interests or concentration. Personally, I like to see the presenter in documentaries being present in it as it feels like we are being talked towards by the presenter which makes the documentary interesting.
At the beginning of the documentary, I will be talking about the introduction of the documentary explaining what/why I am doing it. I will then include cutaways that are relevant to my subject matter. I might also have some background sound relevant to the documentary such as a song or tune.
Locations:
For my documentary, I have got a variety of locations where my interviewees are most available and the setting represents the issues or subject matter of my documentary. For example, I have to interview Sadiq Khan for my documentary, which is more likely going to take place in an office.
Whereas, I have arranged an interview in a studio for my other interviewee, who is a singer and a musician. This location is the best as it relates and appeals to my target audience.
At last, my third location takes place in academic premises where there are collage students who will participate in my Vox Pops.
A recent article or development that relates to my area of focus
Significantly, the key area of focus for my documentary is that I will be investigating the rights and wrongs in putting government censorships on sex music videos.
The 'Grazia' magazine talks about how the government’s going to introduce a certification system to rate music videos according to their raunchiness.

Facts and figures/ statistics for my documentary
Against the issue
1) Content Analyses of music videos indicate that up to 75% contain sexually suggestive material and more than half contain violence; sex stereotyping is common, with women being shown in a degrading fashion.
2) Ballard, Dodson and Bazzini found that 83% of their subjects predominantly White, middle to upper middle class collage students expressed a belief that messages found in song do affect behaviour.
3) Music has been shown to produce measurable physical responses, including accelerated heart beat and alterations in stress hormone levels and chills, laughter, and tears. Some parts of brains were affected by ‘ Shivers-down-the-spine’’ music as those involved in other gratifying activities such as eating chocolate, having sex and using cocaine. Songs have the ability to influence listeners/ viewers.
For the issue:
No research that specifically addressed the effects of songs as socialization agents for adolescents concerning love, romance and gender roles in love relationships was discovered.

Unit 4: Detailed Audience Research - Primary and secondary research
The above PowerPiont presentation is the first Target Audience Profile prior any Audience Research
Unit 4: Detailed Audience Research - Primary and secondary research
This Powerpiont presentation is my second altered Target Audience Profile after conducting my Audience Research, which was through a questionnaire.
Unit 4: Detailed Audience Reseach - Primary Research - My questionnaire Results
The results from my questionnaire are completely the contrast of what I thought or expected teenagers would like to see from my documentary. It is important to mention, that when I found out that the results weren’t as I wanted I discovered that I was actually giving the questionnaire to the wrong target audience who did not really take the answering of my questionnaire serious as they either lost interest of it or they really didn’t care what the questionnaire was for.
Most importantly, the fact that the results were critical and negative, it has lead me to improve myself even more and meet my real specific target audience who are more likely to be interested in the issues covered by my documentary such as those who are sociologists, feminists or media analysts.
Yet also, I discovered that I should mainly asked closed questions as it is quick and staright forwards.
I realized that the group of people I gave my questionnaires to were in a time rush and didn’t have enough time to write detailed answers for my questionnaire.
RESULTS:
The results are based on the majority of the answers provided to me by the group of target audience answering the questions.
Question 1) SEE PITCH POWERPIONT WITH THE GRAPH IN IT.
2) What styles of factual programming are you most likely to watch?
Q2) 50% said Investigative and 50% said Celebratory.
3) Which websites do you visit often to watch TV Channel?
Q3) The vast majority almost 70% said they watch TV channels on YouTube.
4) What kind of devices do you own to watch programmes?
Other devices not mentioned above.
Q4) approximately around 70% said they use laptop as their main device to watch TV programmes including documentaries. 30% said they watch often on BBC IPlayer their TV programmes. This connotes that I will publish my documentary on main websites such as YouTube so it can be watch on laptops and other devices too.
Accessibility to my documentary will be assured for my target audience to watch my documentary without limitations or constraints caused by the software on laptops such as buffering or copy right.
5) What are your initial thoughts about seeing a documentary that consists of distinct opinions about whether it is right or wrong that the government censors sexy music videos?
Q5) 50% said it’s wrong to censor music videos because everyone has got the right to be an individual.
50% said it is right to censor music videos to protect mainly our younger generation and to prevent younger people to be too sexualised.
6) Give your opinion on my chosen title for my documentary: Government censorships on sexually explicit music videos?
Q6) From my questionnaire I realized that out of 100%, 80% of the group of individuals who answered my questions said they didn’t like the elaborated title because it was too long which required to be altered into a rather shorter and straightforward title with effective and unforgettable connotations.
7) Explain what you like to see in a typical documentary?
Q7) The most popular results from the answers of the documentary are that my target audience prefer mainly a documentary to consist of facts, opinions and the truth must be told about the key issues of my documentary. 50% said they wanted factual information, 30% said they want opinions and, finally, 20% said they want a documentary to include of information that is real and the truth.
This result will mean that in my own documentary I will include the key elements that my target audience will look for in a documentary and that it will maintain them interested while watching the documentary. It will also appeal to them as it will make the documentary focussed and exciting.
8) Do you prefer the presenter to be visible in a documentary or out of the picture?
Q8) For this question, I belief that the majority prefers the narrator or presenter in my documentary to be out of the picture as it is more fascinating to see visual imageries, rather, than constantly someone talking to you. This is even more viable because I can use Voice Over on Mac PCs and do proper editing to use videos, relevant cutaways at the same time and relevant background tracks in my documentary.
9) Would a documentary about government censorships on sexually explicit music videos be appeal and interesting to you? (Please, state why for your answer)
Q9) 60% said yes and 40% responded as No. This is the exact evidence I will need to show that my target audience are interested in the topic or subject matter of my documentary and that they do really want to see a documentary about the government censoring on sexually explicit music videos. I belief it is a highly crucial issue in our mainstream society.
10) Does censoring or classification of music videos have any impact on you whatsoever?
Q10) The results from Question number 10, indicates that censorships and classification of music videos aren’t as effective or adequate as they should be. 70% out of 100% of target audience said that censorships have no impact on them at all. There are always alternatives pathways chosen by young people such as YouTube or other websites which do publish what young people really want to see.
But, I must say that despite young people deciding that they have got the right to see, hear or say what they want due to Freedom of Speech but they cannot control the Internet. I belief censorship companies need to be more strict and if they ban or censor one music video in a particular website they have to do it in every single website providing the unwanted music videos.
11) Explain what you think about seeing a documentary that starts with an introduction, followed by, interviews of two experts expressing their opinions, Vox Pops (public opinions) and a conclusion of the overall achievements and key findings?
Q11) By evaluating the results of my questionnaire, I have now discovered that in order for my documentary to be successful I have to meet the needs of my target audience and comply to what they actually want by observing the results of my questionnaires.
The majority said that they would like to see a documentary similar to the one described above. But, before my target audience can judge they must first see my documentary.
Unit 4 Post 3 examples and discuss below the 'mode of address' of each one.
1) My first example is The Only Way To Essex, which is a docu-soap and a dramatic TV program because it consists of arguments, conflicts between relationships and issues between the character in the soap.
However, the soap consists of characters who are in modified situations saying unscripted lines but put into a structured way.
The docu-soap is usually part of a series of programmes, which feature an institution through a set of characters that appear each week.
The mode of address of the above docu-soap is light hearted and critical.
The reason why they are light hearted is because it explores the lives of young, posh and middle class people who are living the lives of celebrities but convey it in a positive, cheerful and humorous way. It does contain gossips and critical judgments, which makes the docu-soap critical.
The target audience of The Only Way To Essex is young people aged 19-30 mainly females who are from a middle class background, primarily from White ethnicity.
The hobbies and interests of its target audience is that they are shopaholics, loves partying, engaging in intimate relationships, drinking alcohol, clubbing, going out with friends and spending lots of money. They are fashionable and spoiled.
They are more likely to go regularly on holidays to places such as Thailand or places where there is beaches and sun bathing for tanning.
The target audience is also in favour of plastic surgeries as the characters have liposuction done on the significant parts of their bodies such as lips, breast and bums. This is a target audience that is obsessed with their appearance and they have regular sexual intercourse.
The target audience is more likely to be working in expensive bars. They come from affluent families with wealthy possessions. For instance, these include vehicles, properties, business that they own and celebrity occupation such as singers, musicians and modeling.
2) My second example is of a mockumentary known as 'The Majestic Plastic Bag’. It is produced by an Academy Award-winner Jeremy Irons. It is about the reality of California's plastic bag pollution situation.
It is basically, a mockumentary to promote its campaign for keeping the ocean unpolluted and clean away from garbage and plastic bags.
It’s mode of address is light hearted, investigative and optimistic.
Firstly, the reason why it is light heart is mainly because it is a documentary about plastic bags, which creates an impression that the documentary is exploring an issue that is not too serious but it is instead humour and light hearted.
The reason why this mockumentary is investigative is because it has researched about plastic bags to produce a successful mockumentry. It also explores about the life cycle of the plastic bags.
At last, the reason why it is optimistic is because it ends with a positive conclusion and that with the help of the viewers there will be less plastic pollution.
The mockumentary is produced in a very professional and serious way with an authoritative narrator voice over and relevant cutaways. The plastic bag is referred to as a creature, which denotes as if the documentary producer is talking about an animal or a living thing that really lives on this earth. This technique creates more atmospheres and makes the viewers really belief that plastic bags are a real issue.
The fact that it is mocking plastic bags makes the mockumentary humorous and memorable for the viewers.
The conventions of the mockumetary are that it is depicting an aspect of reality. It is a non-fiction mockumentary, it is deep focused with cutaways.
Its target audience is adults aged 20-30 males and females who care about their environment and want to keep it safe and healthy. This mockumentary is for people who live in California and who want to help reduce the plastic pollution situations.
I think it is mainly for all ethnic background and social class who want to make the effort to help and the ’Heal The Bay’ campaign.
Source: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GLgh9h2ePYw
3) At last, my third example is Super Nanny as a participatory documentary. The reason why it is participatory is because the presenter is taking part in the documentary and is taking the viewers throughout the show to family households with children who are badly behaved. It shows the viewers how to nurture and socialize children through disciplinary activities or lessons for the parents, their children, for the target audience and/or viewers to learn how to teach the morals the best way.
The mode of address is serious, critical, light hearted and optimistic.
The reason why the mode of address is serious is mainly because as the Super Nanny is dealing with children who are badly behaving and young. Seriousness is the key to teaching them what is right or wrong or else they won’t listen. Likewise, it is serious so that parents who socialize their bad habits to their children change their personality and characteristics too.
In addition, as it is an adult show mainly for parents to be good parents without the use of coercion or swearing. Therefore, the serious mode of address creates more realism and intensifies the emotions between a child and a parent.
Secondly, the reason why it is light hearted is because the documentary is combined with seriousness and humour so that it is interesting, positive and appealing for children too with their parents.
Thirdly, the reason why the documentary is optimistic is because it concludes at the end with the children very well behaved than at the beginning of the show. This mode of address indicates that despite many children being badly behaved they can become through well teaching and discipline good boys and girls. It provides options for parents who think their children are never going to change and they will live in misery forever. It provides parents with new strategies and methods to effective disciplining.
Its specific target audience is adults aged 25- 40+ who are parent and may have more than one child. They are from a wide multi-ethnicity and working class.
The interest and hobbies of the target audience are family gathering, shopping for the children, travelling abroad or in UK, cooking, cleaning, sports such as jogging or cycling, driving and socializing with colleagues or family members.
The parents of the children are more likely to be employed and work for long hours, which mean they will be lacking in time to be able to discipline the children properly.
The target audience music favourite are various starting from Classic, Hip Hop, Pop or Opera.
The conventions of Super Nanny are that it’s documenting a topic in reality, its non-fiction, it’s focusing on a deep topic, and it does have cutaways and consists of expert opinions, which are mainly the Nanny’s opinions as a professional.
Unit 4: Costing/Commercial Viability
Demonstrate the viability of your product (how there is a need for it and how it will be possible to make. Highlight how audience and content research have suggested this idea relates to a gap in the market.
The main gap in the market is that my documentary is for young people and is made by a young person. Yet also, there aren’t any documentaries that are about government censorships on sexually explicit music videos.
My audience and content research showed there was a gap in the market for my documentary because not a lot of my target audience new exactly what government censorships was about and they seem to not be really bothered about sexually explicit music videos due to ignorance and lack of interests.
My documentary is a gap in the market because there aren’t any documentaries about the issues that I will be covering. As it is the key source of attraction and merchandise sexually explicit music videos are not emphasized or introduced to the wider publish as a serious issue because according to the mass media it isn’t an important issue and it is not affecting anyone. But it actually is where I have got some real example of music videos and evidence for my documentary shown below. The sources clearly shows that there is a vital need for my documentary I will have the opportunity in my hands by producing this documentary to raise awareness about the issues that I will be cover mainly about government censorships on sexually explicit music videos to the wider public and primarily to my target audience who will and can make a difference for out new generation.
The need for my documentary will be that I can shed light on the vast amounts of music videos that are completely sexualized and the music videos are becoming more of a soft porn show than normal music videos. It is become too much and it is effecting our younger generation. This must be stopped and the only way is through my documentary.
If you want the new generation of young people to emphasis or make more effort on their appearance and sex than there is no need for me to produce my documentary. Instead, if you want a new generation that makes a difference to our country and maintains the cultural capital than stand beside me and support me to produce this documentary in order to reinforce that these sexualized videos are crossing many boundaries and it is becoming too excessive in our modern western society.
If this is not stopped our younger generation will not know or acknowledge the difference between a professional and powerful women and a prostitute.
We may not completely control what individuals are allowed and are not allowed to see but we can limit it and raise awareness about it to the parents to make sure what is acceptable and not acceptable in their households, in particular with my target audience as they are young and free , they have the right to choose what they can and cannot do but all I am doing in my documentary is informing my target audience about it and show polarized opinions about it for them to understand better what the documentary’s subject matter is about.
My documentary is made possible by interviewing Sadiq Khan who will or can talk about my subject matter in more detail but my documentary will not be entirely about criticizing music videos. I will also introduce Kira who wants to work in the music industry but it not affected by these sexualized music videos at all. I will be interviewing her in order to make it clear that there are different ways of producing a music videos and that it doesn’t have to be all sexually emphasized.
For the production of my documentary I have to talk about the viability of my proposed treatment.
Basically, viability means the capacity to operate or to sustain. My documentary is viable or in other words, doable as I can arrange interviews with the contacts that I have to make for my documentary.
Prior the interviews, I will structure professional and relevant questions for my interviewees.
In addition, I am also able to conduct Vox Pops, in my documentary, I will be presenting the introduction and conclusion myself of my documentary and my interviewees. I have to mention that, my documentary is viable because it is just for 5 minutes and I have by now developed my idea thoroughly to understand and acknowledge exactly what I am going to be doing to meet my aims and purposes.
My key focus is on the subject matter and makes my documentary understandable and professional. It is also viable because if there are any errors or mistakes I have got access to expert software programs to edit, erase, copy, paste, produce or establish what is required for my documentary.
My media teachers are always there to guide and support us in case things gets out of the hands.
I am confident that with effective research, improvements and developments for my main idea, I can produce a persuasive and thorough proposed treatment/ documentary.
This is when the Children’s Minister Sarah Teather and Mothers’ Union chief executive Reg Bailey came to my college. This was the day that I got inspired and decided to produce a documentary about the government censorships on sexually explicit music videos.
This is when the Children’s Minister Sarah Teather and Mothers’ Union chief executive Reg Bailey came to my college. This was the day that I got inspired and decided to produce a documentary about the government censorships on sexually explicit music videos.
The evidence from the pictures and the website will provide me back up to why I have decided to produce such a documentary and that it is viable as I will be constantly contacting relevant professionals to interview for my documentary so they can make my documentary more realistic and believable.
Unit 4: Costing/Commercial Viability
Budget Breakdown for Production Stage
Equipment/ resources needed
|
Professional Costs
|
My Costs
|
Canon MD 101 DVD Camera
|
On Amazon this camera is sold for £160.
|
1 Canon MD Camera will be given to me but I won’t have to buy my own materials or facilities as it is too expensive for a student like me. Fortunately, my collage has provided me with all the relevant materials or equipments that I am required for the production of my documentary.
As there are only 15 cameras in the whole Media Department and there are around 52 Media and Film Studies students, we do have to compromise or book the equipments we need on time, yet also it should be brought back on time so that other can use it too.
As students for us it is more about taking up responsibilities and complying with the rules when using cameras, tripods, camera dollies, microphone, red head lights, batteries and SD Cards or tapes.
|
Velbon Tripods
|
To buy it costs £35.
|
We get a one Velbon Tripod in between two counterparts. For example, when there are students who are siblings and they do the same subject they can take one of each in between with them so that other can have one to in the class.
Again all the responsibilities and rules comply with all of the facilities we borrow from the Media Department, which is mandatory to comply with. Or else, fees must be paid back if there nobody takes responsibilities for borrowing an institute’s facility.
|
3 tapes
|
To buy it costs 5 tapes for £4 in Currys or PC World.
|
We get 1 tap, which we’ll have to not lose or damage as the department can’t constantly give out new tapes to one student.
That will be too costly for them.
|
SD Card
|
To buy it costs £10 for a high quantity of GB.
|
1 SD Cards are also given at the beginning of the film production because SD Cards can be used all over again.
|
Boom Microphone
|
To hire this costs around £42 a day.
|
Again, one Boom Microphone is also given to us for effective sound qualities.
This is required to be carried in a suit case or in a bag so that it doesn’t get lost or damaged, in case it drops somewhere.
As we know that all of these equipments are very expensive, we have to take care of them as if it was ours with a lot of responsibilities.
In case, a student is immature and don’t comply to the rules and doesn’t meet responsibilities they have to either pay back the money or buy back the equipments that they have lost or damaged.
The Head of The Department will take the situation serious and there will be consequences for the loss and damage.
|
Batteries
|
To buy, batteries are sold for only £7. 59.
|
Likewise, 1 charged battery is given to us, which is displayed on the side of the camera. It is does become a nuisance, if the batteries are not charged and we are planning to film.
That’s why, booking in advance, will give time to the Media Department to charge the batteries fully and all the resources are well organized and prepared. For instance, the whole kit needs to be packed so that nothing is forgotten, lost or damaged.
We have to keep good hold of all the resources including the batteries that we are given to.
|
Flip Camera
|
To buy it costs £80 in Currys or PC World.
|
Booking in advance due to fewer resources and many students, the departments has to know who needs what or when.
Keeping records of what has been borrowed, how many is borrowed, by whom it is borrowed and when it is brought back to the Media Department, so that nothing is lost, stolen or concealed due to damage.
|
Red Head Lights
|
To hire, this costs £75 a week.
|
Often to get adequate lighting, three red head lights are provided for anyone who really needs them but one of the Media Department’s technicians will be guiding us too in case something happens due to health and safety reason as the red head lights do get very hot when they are on for a long period of time. Therefore, precautious must be taken.
Yet also, as the red head lights cost a lot of money, the Media Department can’t risk students taking over responsibilities on their own.
|
Shure Microphone 545 SD Classic
|
To buy it costs around £134.
|
Just like the Boom Microphone, we only get 1 Shure Microphone, which can be shared with other media student.
As students it is our responsibilities, to keep the microphone or other collage equipments safe. For instance, protect it from rain or other weather conditions that could damage or disable the microphone, camera and anything that is electronic.
When we’re finished with filming we have to hand the kit in to the Media Technician who will check and maintain a record of what has been brought back so that he can tick it of in the Recording Book.
Again, our responsibilities would be to inform the technician if anything is not working, is lost, stolen or damaged.
|
Travels Costs
|
For top up on Oyster Card to Central London or other destination it would cost me around £15
My budget is £25.
|
As with any other resources, the travelling costs are refunded by the Media Department too. For example, if I need to buy a box of chocolate for my documentary, all I have to do is show the receipt to the Head of Media Department and they will give my money back.
Overall, all of the costs and budgeting are in the hands of my Collage as they support all the media and film students financially.
|
Studio Location
|
For hire this costs £700
|
The studio would also be arranged and provided by the school in case a student needs it but I don’t think I will need a studio.
Real studios are not bought by the school as it is over expensive.
|
Crew
|
For hire it costs £50 per person per hour.
|
For my documentary, I won’t be needing a crew as I have got my other media counterparts or Media Production teachers who will be able to help me in case I can’t do something independently.
A real professional production manager or sound operator will cost the school a lot of money as it won’t be affordable. For instance, a sound operator will have to be paid £50 an hour. That will be impossible.
But, the Media Technician is well skilled with the media teachers who will help and support us throughout the course.
|
Lighting
|
To hire it costs £75 per week
|
Finally, for the lighting part we are also given as much as we are required for our documentary which will be around three to four lighting with the support of a teacher or a technician.
As a student, all we have to do is the work load and the rest is done for us. Unlike, the real world of work nothing is bought for us but we have to provide the facilities ourselves.
|
The above grid denotes the commercial viability of my documentary. As you can see, the production of my documentary is clearly going to cost a lot of money as filming and producing resources as very expensive. In the real professional world of producing a documentary, I would be spending approximately £1500, to get every specific materials or facilities together to be able to film a good, professional and high quality documentary. On the other hand, my program is also going to make money in return through the winning awards, salary and my documentaries could be sold worldwide as a collection or separately.
