Peter Andre's Life
Secondly, I have assessed this documentary, which is called as Peter Andre's Life. It is well known for the ’Fly On The Wall’ mode because, we as an audience, get an inside look at Peter’s personal family and career life but there is no professional or formal documentary rules are used. For instance, formal interviews or investigation into an aspect of reality is not used.
Additionally, the camera is completely invisible even when Peter is talking directly towards the camera. It looks as if we, as his audience are shadowing his footsteps through his daily life. For example, we can see him go shopping, playing with his children, performing in his concerts and going on holidays with his family. Basically, we’re like a fly following him everywhere.
As Peter Andre is a singer, songwriter, television personality and businessman he gains lots of fans throughout this Television Career.
His primary target audience is young female fans aged 17-22 mainly from British background who are working or middle class.
The conventions of the documentary are non-fictional, deep focus and it has occasionally used archive footages and cutaways.
Finally, the mode of address is light hearted, optimistic and celebratory as there are many occasions that Peter celebrates with his family and friends. Peter is always a character that is positive and sees his future as successful and bright.
